Ruling Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) senior leader and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has urged the concerned sides to correct the course to complete developmental activities on time.
Speaking at the 3rd anniversary of Nepalipan National Weekly here in the capital on Monday, leader Nepal added that the contractors of the developmental projects were neglecting the time frame of construction. He also opined for enacting stern laws to control such sheer negligence in the developmental activities.
He added that the developmental projects contracted five years back were still incomplete because of sheer negligence of the contactors.
He also stressed on stern laws to control corruption and cases of sexual harassment and rapes that are on the rise the lately.
Speaking at the same programme, Minster for Federal Affairs and General Administration Lalbabu Pandit said that the mass media should not be a laboratory of any party and thought. He also urged all to join hands on national prosperity and development.
Former Minister Prabhu Sah also asked support of all for development and prosperity.
On the occasion, the weekly paper honoured press council member Govinda Chaulagain, reporters’ club chair Rishi Dhamala, journalist Dr Rajesh Ahiraj among others.
