The national football team has been announced Monday to participate in the SAFF championship football tournament to be held in Bangladesh from September 4.
The 20-member team is led by Biraj Maharjan, said head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan. In the team , Kiran Kumar Limbu, Bikesh Kuthu and Alan Neupane are the goal keepers while Dinesh Rajbanshi, Devendra Tamang, Biraj Maharjan, Ananta Tamang, Aditya Chaudhary, Rohit Chand and Suman Aryal are defenders.
Similarly, Hemanta Thapa Magar, Heman Gurung, Bishal Rai, Sunil Bal, Sujal Shrestha and Nirajan Khadka are midfielders while Bharat Khawas, Bimal Gharti Magar, Navayug Shretha and Anjan Bista are the strikers.
Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Bhutan are under group ‘A’. Nepal will play against Pakistan on September 4, against Bhutan on September 6 and Bangladesh on September 8.
